Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Hintist ("the Game," "our Game," or "Service"). By accessing or using Hintist, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By using Hintist, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Game.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
Hintist is a free-to-play web-based game that uses local browser storage to save game progress and scores. The Game is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense and other third-party ad networks.
3. USER REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Age Requirements: You must be at least 13 years old to use Hintist. By using the Game, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
3.2 Browser Requirements: The Game requires a modern web browser with JavaScript and local storage enabled. Disabling these features may prevent the Game from functioning properly.
4. LOCAL STORAGE AND GAME DATA
4.1 Data Storage: Hintist uses your browser's local storage to save your game progress, scores, and settings. This data is stored on your device and is essential for the Game to function.
4.2 Data Loss: If you clear your browser's local storage, cookies, or browsing data, your game progress and scores will be permanently deleted. We are not responsible for any loss of game data.
4.3 No Cloud Backup: Game data is stored locally on your device only. We do not provide cloud backup or data recovery services.
4.4 Device-Specific: Your game progress is tied to the specific browser and device you use. Playing on a different browser or device will start a new game.
5. USER CONDUCT
You agree NOT to:
• Use the Game for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or exploit the Game
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to manipulate gameplay
• Interfere with or disrupt the Game or servers
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Remove, obscure, or alter any advertising displayed in the Game
• Collect or harvest data from other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
6.1 Ownership: All content, features, and functionality of Hintist, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, gameplay mechanics, and software, are owned by Hintist and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Limited License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Hintist for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
6.3 Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Game without our express written permission.
7. ADVERTISING
7.1 Third-Party Ads: The Game displays advertisements from Google AdSense and other third-party advertising networks. We do not control the content of these advertisements.
7.2 Ad Blockers: While we do not prohibit the use of ad blockers, please note that advertising revenue helps us maintain and improve the Game.
7.3 Advertiser Policies: Third-party advertisers may use cookies and tracking technologies subject to their own privacy policies.
8. NEWSLETTER
8.1 Subscription: By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive periodic emails about Hintist updates and news.
8.2 Opt-Out: You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any email or contacting us directly.
8.3 Data Use: Your email address will only be used for Hintist communications and will never be sold or shared with third parties.
9. DISCLAIMERS
9.1 "AS IS" Basis: Hintist is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
9.2 No Guarantees: We do not guarantee that:
• The Game will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Game data will be preserved or recoverable
• Any defects will be corrected
• The Game will meet your expectations
9.3 Game Changes: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Game at any time without notice.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• We are not liable for any loss of game data, scores, or progress
• We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use Hintist (which is zero, as the Game is free)
• We are not liable for any damages arising from third-party advertisements or services
11. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hintist, its owners, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
• Your use of the Game
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
12. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Hintist after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
13. TERMINATION
13.1 Your Rights: You may stop using Hintist at any time.
13.2 Our Rights: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Game at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
13.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Game ceases immediately. Game data stored in local storage may remain on your device until you clear it.
14. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
15. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Hintist shall be resolved through:
15.1 Informal Resolution: First, contact us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
15.2 Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of [Arbitration Organization].
15.3 Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.
16. SEVERABILITY
